Terms of Service

Last Update December 2016

AwardBird provides an online platform (“Platform”) where customers (“Customers”) receive consulting services (“Services”) from travel and airfare consultants (“Experts”) about the best and the cheapest flights as well as other supplementary travel advice services.

By using the Platform, you agree to comply with the terms and conditions of these Terms of Service (“Terms”), whether or not you become a registered user of the Services. These Terms govern your access to and use of AwardBird’s Platform and Services. AwardBird reserves the right to update and modify these Terms at any time. It is Customer’s responsibility to check this page for possible changes.

Services

A member of the AwardBird team (“The Expert”) shall provide the following Services: searching, building and suggesting the best and the cheapest flight itineraries available at the moment of inspecting the options for the ordering client. He will also issue other suggestions and recommendations regarding frequent flyer programs, miles, airlines, airports, and destinations.

The Expert will provide the Customer with a detailed overview of the steps involved in the booking process.

It is the responsibility of the Customer to pay for the flights and for all fees incurred from the airline (“Airline”) or travel agencies (“Travel Agent”) used.

Fees and Refunds

AwardBird charges a flat fee (“Economy Class Tickets”) which covers the cost of the Experts who search for, build and suggest travel itineraries and document the steps necessary for the Customer to purchase Economy Class flight tickets via a third party Airline or Travel Agent.

AwardBird charges a flat fee (“Business/First Class Tickets”) which covers the cost of the Experts who search for, build and suggest travel itineraries and document the steps necessary for the Customer to purchase Business/First Class flight tickets via a third party Airline or Travel Agent.

Liability

Under no circumstances is AwardBird, or its suppliers, liable to any Customer for any issues arising from

  1. their use or inability to use the product or the breach of this agreement or
  2. the contract between Customer and the travel product supplier or
  3. the contract between the Customer and the Airline(s).

AwardBird does not sell any travel products and is therefore not responsible for the quality and suitability of these products.

AwardBird recommends that every Customer purchases proper travel insurance for every trip.

Travel Advisory

AwardBird is neither obligated nor responsible for providing notice or information concerning any regulations with regard to passports, visas, customs, health or negative travel advisory due to conflict situations or acts of nature. Please note that you cannot travel if you do not have all the required travel documents, such as passports, visas, re-entry permits, and vaccinations for your chosen destination. It is your responsibility to check if you need a visa and/or other documentation for the country you are flying to or for any countries you may be transiting through.

If you do not have the correct documentation, you may be refused carriage by the air carrier or entry into any country. Where entry is refused, fines or other penalties may be imposed on you. Any passenger who travels without the required visa/passport/other documents is solely responsible for and must immediately pay all fines, surcharges, costs (including the cost of their immediate return flight), and any other amounts of any description which are incurred or imposed by the Airline or Travel Agency. This will occur regardless of whether the lack correct documentation is discovered at the airport where you are departing. AwardBird disclaims any liability in this situation and no compensation, expenses, refund or other amount will be paid to the Customer.

Warranty

Neither AwardBird nor the Expert can be considered responsible for any kind of issues arising from contracts between the Customer and the Airline(s), Travel Agent(s) or other third parties involved in selling flight tickets or providing transportation services.

The Platform is provided “as is”. Neither AwardBird nor its associates make any warranty that access to the Platform will be continuous or uninterrupted. The Customer clearly understands that they are using the Platform at their own discretion and risk.
